Originally we planned to depart as early in the morning as possible. However, due to lack of time in the previous days on Saturday morning we still had a lot of packing and preparations to do. All in all we managed to depart from Santa Ana John Wayne airport around 12 o'clock. Our first (very quick) stop was in a nearby Corona to get a cheap gas. From Corona we flew in a beautiful weather and cloudless skies. After around 4.5 hours of flying we landed in Lordsburg, NM. We arrived there after 5 pm local time and although it was already outside of opening hours of FBO, there was still someone there, so we could fill-up the tanks and even got the courtesy car.

Vince was the pilot all day, I was doing navigation and Marta was taking pictures.
